Stuck and Need Towing Help? Find Tips Here

When your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, it can be a frightening and frustrating experience. If you don't have anyone to call when you need help, it can frustrate you even more. A few months ago, my truck quit on the way to work. Since I work and live in a rural area, finding someone to give me a lift to the city isn't always easy. Luckily, my employer sent a tow truck driver to help me out. The driver towed my car to a shop in town to get it repaired. The driver also offered a few tips on how to stay safe in a rural area. If you need advice or information about towing, read my blog. I show you how to keep cool under tough situations and what to do when you need towing help. Thanks for visiting.

Towing From The Strangest Situations

Kylie Torres

Whether you're the vehicle owner in a strange predicament or are calling towing services against a strangely parked violator, towing professionals can work some awe-inspiring miracles when it comes to getting a car into towing position. From lifting up parallel-parked vehicles to recovering a truck stuck into a swamp, there's nothing simple about how some of the best tow truck drives pull off their feats. If your vehicle is in a strange position or you'd just like to know more about how difficult tows happens, take a look at a few wild situations.

Swamp Recovery Without Sinking The Recovery Team

There's no shortage of drivers who get stuck in a swamp after driving in the wrong area. It could be a mudding truck driver who ramped into the wrong patch of mushy land, or there could have been a severe land that caused the swamp to reclaim the road, but it's not hard for a tow truck to get stuck as well.

It's easy to claim common sense when it comes to towing from a safe position, but what if there's no safe position? If a vehicle is stuck in a swamp, marshland or other deeply mudded areas, there are specialized towing trucks that can do the job. Some tow trucks are equipped with hydraulic pistons that can jam into the ground and gain an advantage, allowing other workers to place boards or other drive-safe materials beneath.

With a new temporary road built, towing teams can slowly but surely recover the vehicle without getting stuck just the same.

Parallel Parking Lifts

In areas where parking is a premium and your parking spaces are in jeopardy, you may need to call towing services on a rude individual (or just an abandoned vehicle) in order to free up the parking space. Unfortunately, life and commerce must go on, and you'll need a towing service that can avoid damaging other cars parallel parked in the area.

Some of the more expensive solutions are flatbed towing trucks with hydraulic lifts. These lifts can go under the truck, then lift it onto the flatbed without damaging the other vehicles. These services aren't as common as lifting gears that can pull a vehicle out of its position at a 90 degree angle.

The technique used is entirely based on how much space is available, and whether other drivers can be notified and moved out of the way for an easier move.

There are many amazing stories to go with towing solutions, such as water recovery and wrecks inside forests with no feasible roads. Contact a flatbed towing services professional to get help and a bit of clarity about how your situation can be handled.
